Garage Unlimited of Monterey Holds 2nd Annual Spring Meet-and-Greet

Owners at Monterey Motorsport Park predecessor come together for fun and to raise money for a good cause.

Anyone who’s been considering the purchase of a luxury garage-condo at Monterey Motorsport Park, but wondered whether these garage-condo complexes truly become vibrant, vital communities of car enthusiasts need only look to predecessor, Garage Unlimited of Monterey, — developed by the same team that’s currently working on Monterey Motorsport Park.

The date was Saturday, April 27th. A beautiful, sunny spring afternoon on the Monterey Peninsula. And more than 150 people gathered for that car community’s 2nd Annual Meet-and-Greet — a day filled with friends (old and new), fun, food, and fantastic cars.

Back to the Future

While many people have been fascinated by the concept of time travel, this delightful afternoon at Garage Unlimited proved that traveling through time might well be possible.

First, a wide variety of fully restored automobiles from decades past were on display as if they had just come off the assembly line. This included a 1953 Chevy Bel Air Convertible, 1958 Scarab Roadster, 1964 Cobra Daytona Coupe, and many more classic cars, muscle cars and exotics. Garage Unlimited owners had their units open to the invited guests, revealing even more time-honored cars and motorcycles.

Second, the get-together was like a flash forward for owners of Monterey Motorsport Park — scheduled to open in the last quarter of this year — of future events likely to be held within the peninsula’s latest upscale garage-condo car community.

Benefiting The Bridge Restoration Ministry

Sumptuous food and beverages were served by Bridge Culinary, part of The Bridge Restoration Ministry, which received proceeds from the event.

The Bridge provides 12-month, Christian-based, residential recovery programs for men and women who have been dealing with substance abuse issues. Bridge Culinary, led by a veteran chef who is also a former member of The Bridge Recovery Program, provides gourmet fare for a variety of parties and events.

A big thank you to all the event sponsors that helped maximize the funds going to The Bridge for all of its good work. These sponsors included: Coppa Bella Motors, Hagerty, McCall Events, Porsche Monterey, Redwood Media Group, Risk Strategies, and us here at Monterey Motorsport Park.

The next event on the calendar for auto aficionados will be Monterey Motorsport Park’s Open House sneak preview on Tuesday, August 13th during Monterey Car Week. Once again, the invitation-only get-together will be catered by Bridge Culinary, and this time will benefit SNIP Monterey County, a nonprofit organization that operates a mobile, low-cost spay and neuter clinic serving Monterey County and surrounding areas.
